This isn’t a motivation problem. It’s what happens when the roles that shaped your life fall away — and nothing has replaced them yet.
And until you understand that, it’s very hard to feel clear about what’s next.

But instead of clarity…
You feel:
• unsure of yourself
• disconnected from what matters
• unclear about what this stage of life is for
And that creates a quiet tension:
You know something is changing…
but you don’t yet understand what it means.
When your roles change…
It’s not just your schedule that shifts.
It’s your sense of identity.
Who you’ve been.
How you’ve mattered.
How you’ve known yourself.
And without something to replace that…
It can feel like you’ve lost your footing in your own life.
It’s about helping you understand:
• where you are in this stage of life
• why it feels the way it does
• what is beginning to emerge underneath it
So you can:
👉 feel more like yourself again
👉 trust what you’re experiencing
👉 begin to see what’s next — in a way that actually fits you
You don’t need more discipline.
You don’t need to push yourself.
You need to understand what’s happening — so you can find your way again.
And this isn’t something you figure out by thinking harder.
Because the part of you that knows the answer isn’t always accessible through logic alone.
In this workshop, I’ll guide you through a simple, expressive arts experience designed to help you reconnect with yourself — gently and intuitively.
Not by analyzing your life. But by giving you a different way to listen to yourself. You’ll be guided through:
• A reflective process to help you make sense of what you’re experiencing
• A simple creative exercise (no experience needed) to access deeper insight
• A way to put language to what is emerging within you
So instead of staying in the question…
You begin to feel:
👉 more connected to yourself
👉 more clear about what’s changing
👉 more able to trust what’s next
This is not about reinventing yourself. It’s about recognizing yourself.

Becoming an empty nester and turning 50 was a wake-up call. I realized I was at a crossroads, yet I felt numb, unsure of what I wanted or valued anymore. This program offered me the chance to reconnect with those deeper parts of myself and begin the journey to truly 'come alive' again.
This program was a lifeline back to my creative self, and I am so grateful I took the leap.

I have been amazed in the difference it made in my clarity about next steps and my confidence in undertaking them as I start a new chapter in retirement.
Minette brings an interesting blend of researcher and artist to her curriculum--she is an excellent teacher who covers relevant topics on thriving in life using creative modes of expression that are always on point, insightful, and helpful.

When I first took one of Minette’s workshops and it's like light started shining in my life again. There was a way to experience joy and fun and clarity and to change how I was experiencing my life; that's what drew me to this program: the promise of a regular joyful (very joyful!) safe space with inspiring and yet wholly human women growing and glowing and creating and learning together.

Hi, I’m Dr. Minette Riordan.
I guide women in midlife who find themselves asking, “Who am I now?” — especially when the roles that once defined their lives begin to shift.
A few years ago, I found myself in that same place.
After decades as an entrepreneur, coach, author, and mother, the structure and identity I had relied on began to change. And underneath it all, there was a quiet but persistent question:
Who am I now… without these roles?
What began as a personal exploration — returning to creativity, questioning old assumptions, and listening more deeply to myself — became something much more meaningful.
I realized this wasn’t a personal problem.
It was a developmental transition.
And one that many women move through without language, support, or understanding.
Today, this is the work I guide women through.
Not helping them reinvent themselves —
but helping them understand where they are, reconnect with themselves, and begin to see what’s next.
Through a blend of reflection, expressive arts, and developmental insight, I’ve supported hundreds of women in navigating this stage with more clarity, self-trust, and a renewed sense of direction.
I also bring over 30 years of experience facilitating transformation and community, including:
• Doctorate from Stanford University
• Certified coach since 2006
• 20+ years as an entrepreneur, coach, and author
• Facilitating hundreds of individuals and thousands of women through workshops, programs, and retreats
But more than any credential…
I’ve lived this question.
And I know what it takes to move from feeling uncertain and disconnected to feeling like yourself again.
This workshop is where that journey begins.
I don’t want to be the keeper of everyone else’s heart anymore. I want to hold space for others—but not at the expense of myself. This experience helped me name that truth.
Before the Mythical Makeover, I didn’t need permission to create—but I needed the reminder to create. I’ve felt like an oddball, and after meeting all of these like-minded women, I now realize I’m not alone at all. That energy is exactly what I needed to get going.
Minette is such a wonderful teacher! Safe environment, takes great care of her clients. I had a wonderful coaching session with her where I was able to process some important life changes. I highly recommend her workshops and I felt truly heard in her coaching session. She does the deep work we all intuitively know we want to do and she makes it fun and easy!
I joined last time and really enjoyed it. I love how Minette holds space in the live sessions to create together.
I took this class and it was soooo wonderful! Minette is a wonderful teacher! [Using the] story made it very unique and lots of fun to get to know yourself more deeply! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
