No one tells you about how much life changes as you transition from the striving of building a career and a family into … whatever this is. You most likely didn’t receive training on how to navigate children moving out, your parents’ inevitable decline, the end of a career, a partner going through their own version of this, the stepping away from roles you knew into unfamiliar ones: you are not alone in this.
The Second Half of Life Studio is an online, conversational show covering topics related to life from midlife onwards: how our pace and purpose changes, aging parents, adult children, retirement, and more. Hosts and partners Minette Riordan Ph.D. and Brad Dobson are building a business together while experiencing all of those midlife transitions.
Brad had a 30-year career in software development, finished 3 marathons and 3 Ironmans, is writing a novel, and is retraining as a marketer. Minette has a Ph.D. from Stanford, taught High School, is on her 3rd business as serial entrepreneur, and paints. They have two adult children together.
